Oz Behind Cross CheapingAfter closing in 1992, the former Nobby's Place reopened on Thursday 26th August 1993 as the Cask and Bottle - the name being "chosen carefully as the special cask beers are complemented by a wide range of bottled beers and lagers form all round the world.". However, less than a year later it was boarded up with its future uncertain. It did reopen, but then was forced to close again when, in June 1995, it suffered an arson attack, destroying the entire interior. Four years later it reopened as Bar Zest.
