In 2018 the former Cedars, which had closed (for the umpteenth time) in June 2017, became the Lion's Inn. On the 17th July 2026 the pub's management announced via social media that "Our Lion’s Inn journey has come to an end". Just over one month later, however, it was announced that it was re-opening once more as The Cedars.
