Greyfriars Lane c1900 In 1720 this pub was part of a marriage settlement when it was settled by Joseph Ash of Coventry, a beer brewer, on his son Joseph Ash junior and Bridgett Burgess. In 1756 two soldiers were billeted here. When Benjamin Shepperd took on the license in 1845 the pub had been renamed the Old Harrow.
