When in 1845 Benjamin Sheppard took on the license of what had been the Harrow it had been renamed the Old Harrow.
The license was transferred to Harriet Gardner the following year, then to her son Frederick in 1849, who in 1850 renamed it to the Golden Horse.This is a common sign referring to the contrivance used to break up clods of earth, stir the earth, root up weeds and cover seeds etc., on farmland. | |||
